The combination of the basic four-room plan, the hipped gable roof, the mediopunto, and the concrete balcony, emphasizes the diversity of the unique and local Vieques architecture. The PR Historical Preservation Office calls this building an excellent example of the middle-class home of the period. The building is on the SHPO list as a historic structure and is a protected site. It is zoned Sitio Historico.
