This partially restored Victorian farmhouse is impressive. The seller has restored or repaired, or in some cases, rebuilt most of this unique home. There is an antique hand-carved curved staircase winding up to the 2nd floor with the ceiling in the stairwell oval-shaped to match the curving stairs. The woodwork alone is breathtaking, large round rosettes trim almost all of the doors. The house and foundation is solid. The seller bought it with restoring it in mind. Most of the house was built in 1858 and then added onto in about 1900. It is made with hand-cut beams, which may indicate that it was built around time of the Civil War. The hardest part is done. The kitchen is not finished, but has a beautiful tin tile tray ceiling, a custom pantry, new wiring. The mud room and utility room are finished and beautiful. The fireplaces have been cleaned and blocked. All they need to use them is either a chimney liner for a stove insert or dampers. Upstairs is a new bathroom with an antique dressing table vanity. The shower has a built-in seat for convenience. There is a parlor with fireplace upstairs. The formal dining room has a small cozy wood stove and built-in China cabinet. A master suite is being completed upstairs with the new bathroom and a connecting hall. The ceilings upstairs are wood tongue-and-groove. Most of the windows are new. The fretwork on both porches is stunning and probably original to the 1900 addition. There is a large parlor downstairs and a large bedroom.
